2017 Festival of Dark Beers

Festival of Dark Beers Press Release

At the start of every year, the brewers at Wiley Roots go a little crazy in a display of their affection for dark beers. Every Saturday beginning January 14th and continuing until February 11th, at least two different dark beers are released in the Wiley Roots taproom. This series of beer releases is dubbed the “Celebration of Dark Beers”, and showcases multiple different small batch and experimental dark beers. After the final release on February 11th, the brewers get together for one last brainstorming of ideas to fill any open tap handles and unleash a level their brewing creativity.

This year’s event is themed beer festival meets Mardis Gras dance party! The festival includes unlimited sampling, good eats by a yet to be named food truck (stay tuned), live tunes spun by the Troubadour Sound System, and over 20 different small batch and experimental dark beers including collaboration brews with Cerebral Brewing and WeldWerks Brewing Company as well as showcase beers from our collaborating breweries — this is one festival you DON’T WANT TO MISS! Mardis Gras costumes encouraged, but not required.
